With the help of International teachers, Steve and Jenny Parenteau, Marigold Beach House has been restored and is now being managed by the owners, a local Sri Lankan family. Ranjith, Sujeeva, Sandaru and Pasindu will take really good care of your stay. Ranjith is a master woodcarver and batik maker and Sujeeva is the best cook around if you wish to enjoy a wonderful Sri Lankan meal!!
The newly renovated upstairs self-contained apartment is well equipped and cozy. Marigold’s downstairs rooms offer a kitchenette with fridge, water filter, fresh sheets and towels and laundry as requested. A/C and hot water is available in 4 of the 5 rooms.
Wifi is available in several places along the beach – the big hotels charge you by the hour, but you can also find free wifi in cafés for your use. There is a laptop available to borrow should you need it and a dongle to top up as needed. We have a no-smoking policy at Marigold. Animals are not invited either.
We do hope you enjoy all of your time here at Marigold. We intended to create a simple place in an amazing location that offers a little bit for everyone and that supports a community of people who have lived through some very hard times. Ayobuwan!!
